KHS Instructor Lt. Colonel William Conley Named AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor of the Year

KHS is proud to recognize Lt Col (Ret) William Conley as the recipient of the AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor of the Year award.  This honor is presented annually from among more than 900 units worldwide. A retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with over 20 years of service, Lt Col (Ret) Conley brings 14 years of teaching experience across multiple states, including six years at KHS, where he has made a lasting impact on cadet leadership, character, and achievement.

Under his leadership, KHS AFJROTC cadets logged over 5,150 community service hours, raised $38,000 for veterans’ causes, and earned recognition as three-time European and AFJROTC Marksmanship Champions. He has also expanded student opportunities through international exchanges, historical learning trips, and 21 extracurricular activities with near-universal participation. With a strong emphasis on academics and a “students first” philosophy, cadets maintain a 3.4 GPA and high retention rates.  The KHS AFJROTC program reflects Lt Col (Ret) Conley’s commitment to excellence in and out of the classroom.  Congratulations Lt Col (Ret) Conley!
