News from KHS
Apr 17, 2026 Dear KHS Families,
We have completed the second week of the quarter, and it was a full and exciting one at KHS.
We began the week on Monday with a Mini Model United Nations Conference for middle school students. That same day, our AFJROTC cadets successfully completed an impressive 14.5‑mile march.
On Wednesday, we were honored to host DoWEA's new Director, Mr. Paul Craft, along with The Honorable Timothy Dill and several distinguished guests. Later that afternoon, KHS JROTC welcomed Col. Schenck, 86th MSG Commander, CMSgt Rhodes, and Mr. Butler, who spoke with students about leadership skills, military and civilian career opportunities.
Wednesday evening, KHS hosted a community dinner where our Culinary Arts students prepared and served a meal for more than 80 guests. On Thursday, those same talented students provided an outstanding lunch for Mr. Craft, Dr. Brahaney, and Dr. D’Angelo, our educational leaders, as they met with members of the KHS Student Council.
On Friday, KHS welcomed over 100 KES students for a special presentation of The Velveteen Rabbit. This family‑friendly production will be performed tonight at 1830 and Saturday at 1400, and we hope to see many of you there. Also on Friday, KHS is hosting SHAPE schools for soccer competitions.
Looking ahead to the weekend:
Track travels to Stuttgart on Saturday
Baseball and Softball are home, beginning at 1000 on Saturday
